    Description

    An airmail cover that was supposed to be flown to the passenger liner SS LEVIATHAN while the ship was at sea. The cover was duplex cancelled on Aug 20, 1927 at NY's Grand Central Sta. PO. The rubber stamp on the back tells how the experiment ended.
    The rear flap is sealed. Whatever is enclosed in the envelope has caused the discoloration on both sides of the cover.
