    I don't know anything about chemistry and the science behind how this works, I just know that it works. At first, my pool was blue but it was really foggy. After using this with the filter running, the water cleared up the next day. I just followed the instructions and measured a little bit less than half a pint and stirred it in a bucket of water before pouring it in. I'm very happy with the results. The water looks very clean and I can even see the drain at the bottom of the pool.
