MATSON STEAMSHIP LINES SILVER PLATE COFFEE POT -- VERY NICE !!!

Here is an individual coffee pot from the famous Matson Steamship Lines. This is a 16 fluid ounce coffee pot with the side logo of the Matson Steamship Lines. The logo is the letter “M” inside the ring of stars. The coffee is backstamped with the maker of “International Silver Co”.
Above this is the “IS” in blocked letters.
Below those marks are the capital letters “MN” for Matson Navigation. To the right of this mark appears to be the number “62A”.
Below these marks is the number “16” and the abbreviation “OZ”. To the right of this is the number “52” inside a box. To the right of the number box is the letter “Y”.
Below all of this is the patent number of: 1637853. I have photographed these marks and enlarged them as best I could. If you have any questions, please ask them and I will try to clarify the markings. The coffee pot stands about 6 1/2 inches tall and measures 6 5/8 inches from handle to spout.
Overall, the coffee pot has seen some use. The silver remains intact and is in very good condition overall. I did clean the pot and the silver cleaned up. There are no holes and the hinge on the lid is still very good. When side logos protrude from a body, the logos can and do take a beating. This logo is still distinguishable as you can see in the photos, even though it is worn.
Most of the dings are on the spout and handle since they are hollow and these are to be expected.
This is a very nice individual coffee pot which has obviously seen some use onboard. Don’t miss out on this one for the collection. You might need this coffee pot to make a set and this one is a great display piece.
