    Description

This celery dish was manufactured by Buffalo china and measures approximately 11" by 6". It probably dates from the 1920's or '30's. The logo depicts the vessel "North American" and the slogan "lake trips that have no equal". The pattern name is "North American". There are no chips and no cracks. There are moderate edge "bruises" and light utensil wear. There's slight wear to the logo. There is an area in the well of the dish that has a slightly bumpy appearance which is shown in a picture above. It is under the glaze and does not detract when the piece is displayed.
Please note. This is old commercial grade china as used by railroads, steamship lines, etc., not fine china. There may be in this kind of china tiny dark flecks, pits, etc. This kind of china saw service at least once a day almost year round. I will describe and photograph to the best of my ability any flaws such as chips, cracks, stains or excessive utensil wear. But please examine my photos and my description carefully before bidding.
