    Later reissue of the famous a
    shtray from the steamship
    NORMANDIE
    of the Compagnie Generale Transatlantique CGT designed by Jean Luce.  From the onboard service.  The original version was used at the time of her maiden voyage, but so many were taken by passengers that later the
    NORMANDIE's
    name was covered and then later completely removed from the ashtrays.  This is the later version with the
    NORMANDIE's
    name replaced by French Line.  Measures 3.25" by 2.75".  Designed by Jean Luce, with the Jean Luce logo on the underside.
