    Here is a souvenir glass dish from the Chandris Line ship RHMS
    Amerikanis.
    The dish is 8 ½ inches long by 4 inches wide. It features the image of a ship in the centre. The dish is in great condition. The
    Amerikanis
    was built as the
    Kenya Castle
    a combination passenger/cargo vessel for the Union Castle Line in 1952. The Chandris shipping family (now Celebrity Cruises), bought the
    Kenya Castle
    in July 1967 and renamed her
    Amerikanis
    ("American Lady"). The ship was completely rebuilt as a fulltime cruise ship. It was scrapped in India in 2001 after a half century of service.
