    Description

    CBI
    Twentieth Bomber Command
    Newspaper
    "The Command Post"
    Great Headline
JAPAN BOMBED BY THE YANK B-29'S!
    June 16, 1944
For it's age this newspaper from the 6/1944 is in good condition, a bit yellowed as might be  expected, and naturally a little brittle.
This COMMAND POST newspaper didn't last long, because as soon as the Marianas Islands were secure, the 20th bomber command in CBI moved.
Basically, the logistics for operating in the CBI were terrible.
The newspaper  is well done but few have survived. I purchased a number of Command Post Newspapers, at the Rose Bowl Antique show, Pasadena, CA in      1997.
