Antique Fish On Pole VINAIGRETTE Locket Perfume 800 SILVER Hinged Brooch PIN

Description

Lovely antique silver pin in the shape of a fishing pole or perhaps a sword with a chain on one end from which dangles a fabulous figural fish.  The fish is pierced on both sides, and hinged so that it opens with the flick of a finger.  Probably originally used as a vinaigrette or pomandor.  The fish has wonderful detail - a very unusual piece!
The pole has a single pin like a tac pin with no attached clasp.  It will be shipped with a modern tie tack back to make it functional.
The fish measures about 2” X 1 1/4” X 1/2” deep, the pole is 2 1/4” long, and the fine chain is 1/2”.  It weighs 7.4 grams.
Marked “800” on one fin to indicate the quality of silver (80% silver).
This wonderful antique piece is in excellent condition with no dents, deep scratches, or other damage visible.  The hinge works well and it snaps securely closed.  It has its original patina, which you could polish if you choose.  It’s all ready to add to your collection and enjoy!
