    Description

Swedish American Line: A fold-out (21" by 27") deck plan from 1952 for the STOCKHOLM, famed ship of tragedy.
The plans show seven decks, starting at top with Sun Deck and ending with B Deck which was packed with cheapie cabins.
Photos show the First Class Lounge, Tourist Class cocktail Bar, Indoor Swimming Pool, Tourist Class Dining Room, and a Tourist Class stateroom.
The STOCKHOLM was to be the first in a series of combo-ships built for post-war duty. But when passenger traffic picked up, SAL abandoned the class and built the lovely KUNGSHOLM instead. The ship was known as a notorious roller and company officials used to joke that she was designed so quickly that the plan was jotted down on the back of an envelope. This plan is NOT printed on an envelope.
Very good condition with light wear.
